With funding and support from Fisheries & Oceans Canada (DFO) Regional Office of Environmental Coordination (ROEC), the FGCAC conducted a comprehensive Waste Management Research and Education Pilot, covering nine Small Craft Harbours in the Maritimes and Gulf Regions. Selected in collaboration with the Regional Small Craft Harbours Client Services Management group, the project aligns with national and international commitments related to ocean plastic reduction, waste management, and sustainability. It will inform future plans for DFO ROEC.
