Goal: to support the efforts of the Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture’s Marine Debris Clean-up Program. This project ensured Marine Debris Clean-up Program funding recipients received the resources required to submit funding applications, coordinate clean-up events, provide education, collect proper data, streamline documentation, and responsibly dispose of and/or recycle collected materials.
Objectives:
- Provide leadership and coordination support for other industry or community organizations
- Organize and participate in five shoreline cleanups
- Provide Education on prevention and disposal options
